AGM

The 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday June 16, the first since pre-COVID. If you were unable to attend, here's a link to the information that was presented at the meeting: 2022 AGM.

At the meeting, the President welcomed Nora Hammell as the newest member of the Executive Committee. Nora has been active in Centre activities since moving to the lake and we are pleased to have her on board. (Note: the search for Committee members is ongoing so if you have an interest in being part of a fun, active group of volunteers, just reach out to any current member or email us at DarlingWhiteLakeCentre@gmail.com.)

Following the meeting, attendees enjoyed a BBQ lunch before departing to enjoy the rest of a beautiful summer day.

Annual General Meeting - July 16

As with many organisations, best intentions took second place to COVID for the past 2+ years. As a result of the lockdowns, the Executive Committee at the Centre has not been able to hold an AGM since the last one in 2019.  Now it's time to catch up.

This year's AGM will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 16. Come on out and hear what the Executive Committee has been up to over the past 2 years (all social distanced, of course), and plans for the future. As an added incentive, we are providing a free BBQ lunch afterwards. (But first you must attend the meeting!)

See you on the 16th!

A big shout-out to the Strawberry Social team

If you didn't make it out to the Strawberry Social this year, you missed a great day at the Centre where Jacqueline and her band of volunteers served up delicious strawberry treats for 97 attendees.

The proceeds from the sale of the food and cash donations amounted to $877. This money will be used to help a Ukrainian refugee family in the local area with some of the many expenses associated with coming to Canada under exceptionally difficult circumstances.

Well done, indeed.
